Lawrence W. Yarmaloff, President & Principal Consultant
After working in the clinical research field for many years, Lawrence W. Yarmaloff founded Panacea Clinical Research a decade ago. Mr. Yarmaloff has over eighteen years of experience in the clinical development of investigational therapeutic products. He started his clinical research career supporting research endeavors in the Department of Histocompatability and Immunogenetics at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, and then by subsequently joining Quintiles, Inc. as a Clinical Research Associate. Following his tenure at Quintiles, he moved through ascending positions in project and therapeutic area management in the biotechnology arena with ImmunoGen, Inc. and Diatech, Inc. He then reentered the CRO venue by joining Paragon Biomedical, Inc. as a regionally based consultant and employee providing project management and monitoring services and leadership in the company’s quality and training initiatives.
Mr. Yarmaloff holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry from Bates College and is accredited by the Associates of Clinical Research Professionals as a Certified Clinical Research Associate (CCRA). He is an active member of DIA (Drug Information Association) and ACRP (Associates of Clinical Research Professionals – national and local chapters).
Jodi Moore Scarola, Director of Investigational Site Services
Jodi Moore Scarola began her Clinical Research career as a Study Coordinator at the University of Kentucky Medical Center, where she coordinated clinical trials in the area of Maternal-Fetal Medicine. She subsequently joined Remington-Davis Clinical Research, where she implemented programs supporting investigator integrity and compliance as well as investigator recruitment strategies. As a Clinical Research Associate with PPD, Ms. Scarola participated in Phase II and Phase III studies in the areas of HIV and Cardiology. Her experience includes all major Clinical Research categories, from site management and file auditing to regulatory document review and maintenance.
Ms. Scarola holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology from the University of Kentucky and is a member of the Association of Clinical Research Professionals (ACRP).
Sandra Matzek Cole, Lead Monitor
Sandra Matzek Cole’s career in Clinical Research began at McLean Hospital in Belmont, MA. As a Study Coordinator and Clinical Research Assistant, she participated in a variety of Phase II and Phase III studies in the areas of psychiatry and mental health. Following nearly twenty years at McLean Hospital, Ms. Cole transitioned to Research Monitoring, where she has worked for the past ten years with leading CROs including Paragon Medical, Inc., Omnicare Clinical Research, Inc. and most recently, Panacea Clinical Research. Ms. Cole’s experience as Lead Monitor includes the oversight of as few as one site to as many as thirteen sites.
Ms. Cole holds a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Maine, Orono and a M.Ed. from Lesley College. She is a member of the Association of Clinical Research Professionals (ACRP)
Pablo C. Colorado, MD, Medical Consultant
Pablo Colorado, M.D. is a key Medical Consultant for Panacea. His career in medicine began in his native Colombia where he practiced as both a Primary Care Physician as well as an Emergency Room Physician for several years. Subsequently, Dr. Colorado relocated to the U.S. where he worked as a Research Postdoctoral Fellow at Harvard Medical School focusing on therapeutic approaches to cancer and renal diseases. He then continued his clinical training pursuing a residency in Internal Medicine. He established an internal medicine/primary care practice in Massachusetts for 3 years. As
a Medical Consultant, Dr. Colorado develops Clinical Research protocols and assists in data analysis, with primary focus on the areas of oncology, pulmonary, infectious diseases, pediatrics and neurology. Dr. Colorado is US board certified in Internal Medicine and holds an MBA.
